Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Jim and his wife Sally have been with Bayard and our sister church East Rochester since July 1, 1998. Rev. Jim and Sally have been pastors of United Methodist Churches since 1984 when he received his first appointment. He attended Kent State University and the United Methodist Course of Study School at Evanston ILL. 
Rev. Huston also does revivals and special services through the year as well as being the pastor two United Methodist Churches.
Rev. Jim & Sally were married in 1970 and have two children and six grandchildren.

My Mission Statement

It is my mission as pastor of the East Rochester and Bayard United Methodist Churches to raise up disciples for Jesus Christ. I am called to teach, train, and equip the body of Christ to be in ministry. 

It is my mission to reach as many people with the gospel of Christ as possible through the preaching of the word, and the teaching of others to take the Gospel into all the world.
